Beneath the Mexican desert, the Crystal Cave is a breathtaking marvel. Without proper gear, man may only enter the cave for a few minutes, as the heat and humidity can kill. In fact, even with proper gear, scientists are only able to observe the cave for a little over half an hour.
Over time (half a million years), heat and gypsum-rich water worked to form crystals five times larger than that any man has discovered before. Gypsum is the same soft mineral found in common drywall.
Miners, in the year 2000 were shocked to find this underground beauty.
